Project completed within 5 hours

Core Energy Systems partnered with Briggs Burners to supply and install our EcoHeatwave infrared thin film heating system at the Broadcasting Engineering Museum, situated at the historic RAF base in Hemswell, North Lincolnshire. The museum, dedicated to preserving broadcasting heritage, displays one of the original cameras from the Queen’s Coronation in 1953, making the environment preservation a priority.

Our Solution

Installation Details

The EcoHeatwave system was strategically placed in two key areas: the museum’s entranceway and the first studio. The system was installed behind existing suspended ceiling tiles, ensuring an unobtrusive yet highly effective heating solution. With a total power capacity of 5.4kW, the installation was completed and fully operational within an impressive five hours from start to finish.

Performance and efficiency:

The museum’s structure, with solid walls and concrete ceilings, posed a unique challenge for heat retention. However, since installation, the system has maintained consistent temperatures, with the client noting that heat retention is highly efficient even over extended periods. The system’s integration with smart controls also provides the museum with precise control of heating schedules, optimising comfort for visitors while conserving energy.

Impact for the client:

Briggs Burners, known for their expertise in large industrial and radiant heating solutions for factories and warehouses, found the EcoHeatwave system to be a perfect complement for smaller spaces within the museum. This installation showcases the system’s adaptability to unique, compact environments, delivering targeted heating while aligning with the broader, energy-efficient goals of the museum and its visitors.

The EcoHeatwave system provides the Broadcasting Engineering Museum with a highly effective, energy-efficient heating solution tailored to fit seamlessly into the space and aesthetic of this historic site. The combination of cutting-edge infrared technology and responsive smart controls makes EcoHeatwave an ideal choice for smaller spaces with high visitor engagement, ensuring comfort, preservation, and efficiency.

"The EcoHeatwave system was fantastic to install—straightforward and quick to commission, which is a huge benefit. What could have taken a couple of days with a traditional wet system was completed in just over half a day. This system is a game-changer for efficiency on-site!"
